New iPhone GPS confirmed?

This system allows with pinpoint accuracy, location based services and navigation functionality to phones and other devices. According to Gizmodo, Broadcomm, who has only recently began making GPS chips, has landed the contract to make GPS chips for the iPhone. This is because in 2007, Broadcomm acquired Global Locate, a small GPS chip manufacturer. Google Maps is a very popular feature on the iPhone, and on many other devices. With a actual GPS, and not cell site triangulation, the iPhone would be able to provide much higher quality location based services. A true GPS would also aid in geo tagging of photos, which the latest version of iPhone firmware 2.0 supports.
